New Jerusalem Bible The human heart may plan a course but it is YAHWEH who makes the steps secure. Proverbs 16:9
Plans can go only so far in achieving the aims of life. Often, things come up that are completely out of a person's control that change life in a profound way. Making wise decisions at such times can lead to confusion if there is a lack of balance, prayer in asking for God's guidance and listening to the answers that emerge. To know why the heart is making certain plans requires reflection. Listening to God means being open to trusting that God's plan is unfolding in the way that it is supposed to, even while making choices to bring about what the desired end result is. This is true in business as well as personal life.

However, greed and the insatiable desire for more money led to consequences that outdid the good intentions. When you make your plan today, do you believe that YAHWEH is watching? That your actions matter?
