My vision is to continue to foster the liberation of people through the ministry of Spiritual Direction. Through this ministry, the integration of faith into daily life lies at the heart of my ministry focusing upon development of spiritual practices in the Catholic faith tradition and development of prayer life for individuals. I encompass the vision of partnering with business leaders, religious and government bodies towards development of practices that enhance liberation theological practices for social and economic justice.
Ø I am drawn into the image of a compassionate, liberating and healing God, revealed through creation, ancient biblical imagery and within the Church in the modern world.
Ø Informed, ethical and practical decision making coupled with wisdom and an open minded approach that builds upon the gift of discernment, through community and equanimity is foundational for my approach to spirituality.
Ø A Hope filled outlook for the possibility of this new vision to come about, particularly with regard to eradicating systems and structures that continue to spiral downward cycles of abuse and violence, whether economic or physical. Choosing to recognize that people and their communities, can take steps toward changing their lives and that of their communities, for the better .
Praxis - I am committed to promote and develop Christian values as a Spiritual Director and will seek:
Ø To promote self care, balance and wholeness within the Ministry of Spiritual Direction in order to serve within this creative practice.
Ø To partner with bodies committed to promoting social justice and work within Human Resources Management to promote Human Rights, Equality and Spirituality in the Corporate world.
Ø To continue to develop in understanding of historical context, spirituality and culture through encouraging of education and use of modern technology to enhance open and respectful communication between myself and directees.
Ø To foster a deep love for the earth and creation, as well as people, that is foundational to bringing the message of peace that breaks forth in the present.
Ø To continue to recognize and work for justice in unity with the broader Church, charitable organizations and corporations, that genuinely seek to develop and reward, the talents of people for the individual and common good.
Ø To enable fostering life affirming decisions and lives of service that promote values based upon the Christian tradition and offers hope to others.
