The name of my website has been chosen to reflect healing through remembering and the holistic focus of my work. I provide HR Consulting, Project Management and Administrative services utilizing research skills, problem solving and applying my HR skills to meet client deliverables.
I grew up in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia), and experienced the effects of racism in communities. with the resulting two tier system it brought where opportunities, access to networks that can open doors and promotions, and where education based on a class system affected and continues to affect visible minorities. As a woman and immigrant to Canada, I see the continuing effects of the result of racism in society and the discrimination that affects generations to come including opportunities to financial stability, quality healthcare, management jobs and opportunities for advancement. Prior to immigrating to Canada as a skilled worker from the UK, I researched the requirements to work as an HR professional and was interviewed to be accepted into Rotman School of Management to complete the Advanced Program in HR, as my experience was gained outside of Canada. On completion of the program, I earned the Certified HR professional (CHRP) designation, demonstrating that the application of HR practices at the international level can be applied in Canada, as all testing was done on a consulting based methodology, similar to that taught in South Africa.
My career has spanned Zimbabwe, South Africa, the UK and North America in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Organizations I have worked at providing Administration, Project Management and HR support and leadership include: Baker & McKenzie Banking - Schroders, Nomura, TD, CIBC, HSBC Education - Branksome Hall, University of Toronto, Regis College Consulting - Hugesson Consulting, AON Hewitt Real Estate Management - Bovis Lend Lease, Ivanhoe Cambridge Healthcare - Toronto Western Hospital Camp Echo Lake - USA
Spiritual Direction is offered as a ministry within the Roman Catholic Tradition. I offer facilitation within this ministry focusing on integrating faith, justice and help individuals on their journeys with Finding God In All Things, in the tradition of St. Ignatius and Regis College where I graduated from. I volunteer through diverse platforms encompassing working with HR professionals, children, the vulnerable and marginalized. Healing brings wholeness, prosperity and joy including living with pain, grief and unanswered questions yet still enjoying life.
