I offer 5 ways you can help yourself, as I am doing:
1. Take time to exercise.
Exercise clears the brain and gets the heart pumping. It releases endorphins that make you feel good.
2. Take some time to connect with others.
The Bible says a burden shared is a burden halved. A string of 3 cords is not easily broken. Call a friend or family member and remember you are not alone.
3. Turn to essential oils if you use them.
I like to use Lavender and Cedarwood for my health. If you decide to use oils find out what the contraindications are. They are used for medicinal purposes not just for their smells. Lavender is balancing for the emotions. Cedarwood helps to strengthen the will and hold it. Rose is good for healing emotional hurt and abuse.
4. Remember to pray.
Whatever we are going through we can turn to God and ask for guidance, for help and strength.
5. Build up your creative skills.
I turn to listening to music, or watching or listening to sports that I love. It removes the focus on me and turns it to others. Volunteering and finding like minded people always helps. I also like to take photos when we have lovely sunrises or sunsets. Below is one of my photos. From cooking to baking, we all have so many gifts that can help keep us motivated and positive!
